This quilt was made in memory of Galena Marsh who passed away several years ago. She was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran in Dexter and the LWML. She loved to make quilts and her family asked me if I wanted the fabric she purchased before her death. I selected 7 different colors of greens and browns in prints and solids cotton material. Almost since the beginning of the quilt auction at Camp Okoboji, Doris Lauritsen designed, pieced, quilted, and donated a quilt for the women of St Paul Lutheran Church in Sac City to put on the auction. In 2007, this is the quilt she was working on and had it almost completed when she became ill and was unable to finish it. She died later that year. Her family donated the quilt to the ladies and the Lake View Emmanuel Lutheran Church quilters put the finishing touches on it. We are proud to be able to include this quilt in the 2010 Camp Okoboji quilt auction.
