2021 Auxiliary Quilt Auction
Camp Okoboji's Auxiliary Quilt Auction & Craft Sale is BACK! The Camp Okoboji Auxiliary serves as a 'helpmate' to the Board of Directors - to Pray for, Promote, and Participate in God's ministry at Camp Okoboji. For decades, the Auxiliary has hosted a Quilt Auction & Craft Sale, which has contributed to the Camp Okoboji Auxiliary funding nearly $1,000,000 worth of projects and initiatives at Camp Okoboji.  Please come and join us as we admire the beautiful quilts that were made and donated, and help support the Camp Okoboji Auxiliary in its missions at Camp Okoboji.

Date
June 19, 2020
Viewing times & Auction Times TBD

Quilt Submissions
Unless special arrangements are made, quilts along with their Quilt Description Form should be received at the Camp Office by May 21st, 2021 to be photographed, processed, and posted. We cannot guarantee that quilts received after May 21st will be placed on the auction

Quilt entries of all sizes are welcome. Buyers are gnerally looking for standard size bed quilts. Approximate quilt sizes are:
  • Twin (66" x 88")
  • Full (81" x 96")
  • Queen (90" x 102")
  • King (102" x 108")

Tied, machine-quilted, hand-quilted and hand stitched quilts are all welcomed. Quilts that are a specific bed size sell better than those that are a random size.

Please fully complete the quilt description forms including the cost of materials & quilting with estimated work hours if known. this completed form must be attached to each quilt. All quilts MUST have batting. Those without batting will be placed on the craft table for sale and if not sold will be given to Lutheran World Relief or another worthy organization.

The quilt becomes more valuable if you affix a permanent label (a 'pedigree') to the back with your name or the name of the quilting group, the quilt pattern, and the words '2021 Camp Okoboji Quilt Auction.'

Craft Items
Do you enjoy creating items other than quilts? We welcome your homemade craft items to sell on our craft table at the quilt auction. Your craft items can be delivered to camp any time up to the morning of the auction.
